did anyone change supercharger oil DIY
just did it on my XJR, I had the S/C off the car, go to the chevy dealers and buy the oil its $10.39 for 4oz I used 6 oz in mine so buy 2 bottles.
Search the X308 forum for the how to tricks of sucking out the old oil, mine looked like coffee.

I opened up the SC oil plug prepared to do a change and the dribble of fluid that came out was very clean, so I closed it back up. This car has 55K miles on it. The fluid in the SC doesn't lube much or get very hot. It doesn't need changing if its clean. The rotor bearings that turn so fast in the rear are not accessible and the oil cannot be changed without disassembly, so they are the weak link anyway.
I changed mine at about 65k and it was some nasty stuff. The plug is a little hard to get to when on the car, but not impossible.
The most difficult part is sucking it out, which will require a pretty small straw. I used a grease extractor with a rigged up adapter (taped) to a very small piece of vacuum line.
33k likely doesn't need serviced, but like all fluids, it's good to check them from time to time.

that is useful
Changed mine at about 82K miles, in preparation to fit a smaller pulley on the S/C. The kit I bought on Ebay came with a big syringe to suck the old oil out. It wasn't a difficult process and didn't take very long. But when they tell you that the old oil stank.... Believe it!
