Dim light problem
06 conv.one light went out then before I can get it fixed three or four days later The other light went out. I checked fuses and also relay good. Took old light bulb out replaced with new light bulbs both lights no change can't find anything in the forums however about 3 or 4 weeks prior to this I had to get a new windshield put in " because my mirror fell off " insurance paid is there a chance it could be that or where should I look?
Thank you very much always enjoy the information

Great confusion with your terminology but I deduce the Dips/low beam are out and the others OK.
So go to Jagrepair.com and find your exterior lighting diagram.
You will see top right you have a dip beam relay and two fuses Check the fuses . If not blown then swop the main beam relay with the dip beam relay. If the mains then do not work you have a faulty relay.
DO NOT SUBSTITUE A GENERIC RELAY OR YOU CAN BUGGER YOUR ECU.
Substitue the front fog relay until you can get a correct replacement.
AS all the headlights use the same earth point that rules out an earthing problem.

Going to the jagrepair now to
double check but I did exchange the relays with the high and low beam and the high beam still worked in a low beams did not two fuses that I assume belong to the low beams were good

On an '06, you should have HID headlights. The standard debugging technique is to swap left and right components to figure out what is going on, but that option is no longer available to you it seems. Fortunately, the parts involved have become available at pretty low cost.
The bulbs are type D1S. There are various "colors" available, from the standard ever-so-slightly yellow all the way to almost bluish. I would get a pair and replace the existing units. Folks say a new D1S is noticeably brighter than an original unit going on 20 years old.
The other component is the "balast", a power supply really. Fortunately again, best I can figure, your '06 no longer has the self-leveling feature so the cheap units available out there are a suitable replacement. Again, probably worth getting a pair of new parts. The original is Valeo, but there are others much cheaper.
There is also the possibility of a "cross" failure, with a failed balast on one side and a failed bulb on the other. Maybe swapping parts side-to-side is still an option after all.
Best of luck, keep us posted.
PS: There is a light sensor by the mirror that feeds the "auto" headlight feature. I assume you have tested your headlights without it (2 rotations of the stalk, not 3).

Did not know about the sensor in the mirror and how to check it I do know that I would get a light on at various time saying my lights are on but they were not on obviously as far as the light bulbs themselves I was able to get a new one and put in each headlight and neither one would work with it I put it in it didn't work on the left then I put it in and it didn't work on the right and I replaced the old bulbs obviously because they wanted $100 for the light
Can you give me more information on the two or three turns the stock on the mirror sensor I'm assuming the stock means on the steering wheel but I don't understand the two versus three . Please give me more information on that and this is a pitiful help
Thank you
Thank you
Its worth removing the low beam relay and joining the two terminals the relay contacts would join. If it dont light the fault seems to be in the headlamp unit .
If buying HID ..I have bought lots of cheap with no problem like $20 and I would not go over 6000K for the colour

I had to re-solder a connection in the stalk one time when my "auto" function quit working. Check the stalk (turn signal stalk). Turn it to "auto" (in the dark), and "headlights on" and see if it does anything with the low beams.
Sorry guys haven't been back I hurt my foot and I'll be out of commission for a couple weeks or so but thank you for all the feedback and rest assured soon as I can start working on it again
