Intermittent power steering 2003 XKR
Hi Guys,
Just picked up a gorgeous new 2003 XKR and am experiencing a new issue. Basically, the power steering seems to work upon start up and when driving but then occasionally when I go to park or make a tight turn at low speed, especially when parallel parking, the power steering assist greatly diminishes. I have searched for similar issues in the archives and am not finding much help. One poster suggested using Lubrizol 6178. The reservoir has plenty of fluid in it and I am not finding any leaks on the driveway when I park overnight. Any ideas on where one would start to diagnose and fix this?
Thanks!
Corey

No service records with the car so I like your suggestion Jon and Pistnbroke that might be what is happening as well. Two great thoughts, thank you guys! I do not hear any chirping from the belts and I would guess that would happen if there was some sort of slipping but I will look at the belt and see if there is anything that looks off.
Thanks!
Thanks!
