Wink DIY GPS for a XKR -update EVO

remove the stock one, and add a usb socket into stock socket, and stick a garmin 5" GPS from back of panel. done!

last time, i show my gps to my chinese friend, they said it was too Shanjai(chinese copy). so i rebuilt it to EVO. use a stock gps panel and buttons(do not work). now it looks better, haha.

Brilliant! Also see the other thread around here somewhere this month about the guy who put in a Samsung One Note smartphone. It's neat to see technology adapting to this space. Luckily it's a 16:9-ish shape for support years to come.

What did you use to fill in the area where the buttons used to be?

PE is a common part for building scale models, made of stainless steel.

Very nice.

If not for the new one being usable, you would never be able to tell it didn't come with the car.
