I could not find the OEM RH bank exhaust heat shield anywhere so I made my own out of a Muffler Exhaust Shield for 07-18 Jeep Wrangler JK (Mopar 55395955AC). I was searching for exhaust shield material and only finding large (=$$) sheets but then an image of the muffler exhaust heat shield for a wrangler popped up; it was less than $20 and it was large enough for a bit of trial and error as I did not have an original as a template for my DIY version. I fashioned a template out of a bit of cardboard, cut the muffler shield, shaped it, made mounting holes (this was the most time consuming step as I did not have the original from which to mark, and then fitted. The aluminum is thinner than what is already in the engine compartment but this make fitting it easier as it is more flexible. I think the lack of heat shield on the RH side of the car contributed to the damage of the air intake tube that runs from the air intake to the throttle body. The plastic above the missing heat shield was crumbling and there were already two holes in it along with cracks in the flexible accordion section.
