Yesterday I was going down a 12% grade. Was doing 50 and wanted to stay there. Pop it down to 3rd and it holds fine. But damn is hard to do slickly when the cupholder is full both sides. Another design flaw.

I use it on hot summer days in heavy traffic. Once you get rolling again the slightly higher revs cool the engine down quickly. Under hood temps do rise a bit on these cats.

Yes the temps rise. I was stuck in a 30 minute line at the border a couple of days ago. Inching forward every few minutes. Each time I did it was like driving through an oven. Waves of heat. But I had the top down so I got the full effects of the under hood heat as I rolled forward through it. My temp was fine and no over heating, just the way the kitty rolls.
