It was last September and it was love at first sight.
That metallic red body, that rich cranberry interior and Oh! those 20 inch Detroit wheels. I mean I couldn't just leave her there outside in the Welsh rain surrounded by those other cheap looking models she had to be mine.
We got to know a little about each other on the drive back to my place in England, safe from the Welsh Hoards. You'll love it, I said, nice safe driveway and nice big garage to sleep in.
She was a bit intimidating at first, a bit like my previous lovers having had my first affair with a 3.8 E-Type back in the mid 70's and a V12 XJS many years later.
She was adorable Doc and well she still is and gets more so each day.
I mean it's ok isn't it Doc to talk to your car? Everytime I go into the garage I say "hello gorgeous" to her and stroke her.
Doc,there are times that I want to throw myself over her bonnet and lick her windscreen...that's quite normal when you're in love Doc isn't it?
OK so she's a 2005 model, I dont care, she looks even more curvatious than those new expensive jobs in the dealers and Doc, I'm sure she loves me too.
I keep the freezer and drier in the garage, so there are lots of excuses to go and look at her and say "hello gorgeous". This is normal Doc, isn't it?
I'm sure she loves me washing her, and especially the wax treatment afterwards, I mean they love that sort of thing don't they?

Well, you had my blessing and shared you're enthusiasm until you mentioned the bonnet jump and windscreen lick. Besides that, sure...its all normal. I rub the convertible top as I walk by on my way out the garage, always saying hello to her.

Surely you've named her... so what is it?

 

I talk to mine everyday. She demands to be kept clean, inside and out, and in return, she looks great driving down the road.

 

I cuss at mine like I do the wife just to keep it in line. Then as I walk away I give is a little smile!

 

Can you imagine what our cars could say if they could talk back.

These come to mind, the cheerleader, Miss month of the year, Queen of the Prom, Most likely to succeed, Best looking, etc...... these were all of the women you wanted but few ever really attained. But now we have Lady Jaguar and all that goes with her.
