To give you more room to work in you can remove the wheel and the inner wheel liner or at least the front 1/2 of it and move it out of the way. It's made out of thin material/plastic. Then you can get both hands/arms in there to do the work.
I did this when I upgraded my low beams (dip beams) to HID bulbs. Made life a lot easier.

Other than having to drill a 1" hole into the cap, everything is plug and play and seals up just fine. Remind the person on the phone that you'll need the condenser harness so you don't get flicker.
