Please accept my thanks for your complete and authoritative replies regarding whether or not my '97 XK8 Convertible is FOB compatible.

The answer is YES.

I bought two from a ABIBABA web site for US$2.50 each, total $5.00. Shipping by no cost China Post.

Here are the facts I learned.

My 97 Jaguar XK8 Convertible needs a LJA2610AA FOB, FCC ID: K8597T315.

I learned that a number of cars can use this FOB.

Here is why I had so much confusion.

If my ’97 was a sedan, the FOB would not work.

It only works for a ’97 Convertible.
