Default Does you engine 'sweat'?

It's been fairly warm and humid here in France over the past couple of weeks, so I have been using the air conditioner. When I put the car back in the garage after a run, I am getting 2 or 3 small puddles of what I think is water on the floor.

I am assuming/hoping it is just condensation dripping from the A/C pipes, but could there be another explanation?

If you've been using the air conditioning system, your puddles are definitely just condensation coming out of the tubes designed for that purpose.

I've seen your garage floor...I'd hate puddles of any kind if I were you!

If the water has color or odor then it might be from something other than simple condensation from the A/C unit. Chances are that it is condensation. One good thing out of this is that you know the drain hose is not clogged.

Here in North Carolina hot and humid is the norm. I drive my car every day and my garage floor is almost continually wet. And unfortunately, my floor has a very slight slope to it, so the puddle always ends up on the ground right where I have to put my foot to get into or out of the car.

That's a relief. Thanks, guys. I was 99% sure it was just condensation, as it had no colour, odour or 'texture' to it when I dipped my fingers in the puddles. Also, I don't get the puddles when I don't use the A/C...

Thats very common here in Oklahoma cause we are humid all the time. What irritates me is the puddle I get sometimes in the driver's seat, so I stopped using sport mode....................

" . . . when I don't use the A/C"

That is never in Georgia.
