I printed off a few sets this weekend and have them available for anyone who is interested. You can PM me your address and I can get a shipping cost.

US domestic seems to be $8.30 using the smallest USPS flat rate box.

Like others in this thread I used a 3D printer to fix my broken brackets. However I didn't replace the whole bracket. A fixture was printed and fit on top of the bracket to replace the broken bits. This meant the connection between the door card fiber and the plastic bracket didn't have to be removed and re-attached. Here is a link to another thread I started for that project: Repair Broken Door Card Brackets with 3D Printed Fixture

A year or so ago I saw a video of someone making aluminum sheet metal caps to go over the top of the broken parts, pop riveted on the sides and cut out for the stud like original. I have the same problem on the drivers side door and may give the aluminum cap a try.

After a 3-D version supplied by a forum member broke I made a double thick version out of some broken bits held together with some epoxy.

so far it’s working with my patch but I don’t have too much faith in its continued viability. I would love to have the aluminum version mentioned earlier in this thread.

The problem is in that upper rear corner of the drivers side door gets a lot of stress whenever the door is shut. Only that little bit of plastic is there trying to stop the inertia of the doors inner cover shell all by itself.

if one is using the car as an infrequently used pleasure vehicle, then it might hold up indefinitely. But daily use, opening and closing the door 10-20 times a day is a lot to ask of that little plastic bit. I try to both close the door while simultaneously pressing my hand against the door corner from the inside.

if the window is rolled down allowing me to get my hand around both sides of the door and “squeeze” as the door closes, this “technique” might be more effective.

But over time I am sure my daily driver XKR will need another fix to keep the inner door shell affixed tightly.

What kind of adhesive are prople using to fix these plastic brackets to the door card? The Jaguar Technical Bulletin states "3M Hotmelt 3748 Adhesive (or a suitable Polyolefin adhesive)" but that product seems to be very much a specialist industrial product. Most sellers offer it in large quantities - I don't really want to buy $1000 worth of glue to fix three brackets! The Jaguar recommended 3748 adhesive also seems to be only avaliable in 15mm size glue sticks which require a professional grade glue gun which I don't have.

Can anyone offer an alternative, equally strong glue?

I used a standard 2-component adhesive an it works well

A decent name-brand epoxy should do the trick. I would scuff up the bottom of the base of the plastic brackets to increase the adhesion factor....

The yellow 3M weatherstripping is working very well on my car. It’s been 3 or 4 years since I replaced a few of those and the 3M is still holding. You have to to let it dry and harden completely before reassembly.

my 2002 XKR is a daily driver so the door opening / closing gets a good workout.
