Picked up my 02 Pacific Blue coupe with 51k on the odo about 8 weeks ago. After redoing the cam tensioners and upper cam chains, I couldn't leave well enough alone. I added Mina's fresh air, overdrive pulley and muffler kit. In my mind this automatically warrants a trip to the strip to see what it will do. On the third and final run it broke into the 13's. 13.92 @ 101.69. Ambient air was in the 90's and the brakes would not hold when I tried to load up the tranny before launch. Summing up; even with these factors subtracting from the performance, this is still one sweet and quick kitty.
This will be the first and last trip for this car to the strip. Burn outs in the water box and loaded up standing starts are pretty brutal on the hardware.

Me too ... best sound system I have ever owned, and the best seat/chair as well. Why on god's green earth you want to beat it up on on a strip ... just don't know :-) You are driving an incredible piece of art chipped at 155mph. While I do wish that Jag was running Formula One this weekend in Monte Carlo .. Ford bailed on both Jag and Cosworth .. alas .. last Jag in F1 was in '04.

Glad you love your Jag .. treat her well. This bb is an incredible ressource for information .. updates .. fixes for our "Kats". 90 thousand made over ten years .. that's It. Ford is gone ... for Jag. Your Kat will be a classic .. that can turn under 14 in the quarter .. that your grandchildren may enjoy.

So ... don't be discouraged that you don't get a bunch of "attaboys" for your strip performance ... lotta good folks here .. and not just luvin' a poor mans version of an AM DB-7. They are sweet and smooth and as fast as you want. JMHO ... newbie here too .. Welcome :-)
