Default Driver power seat/tilt steering malfunction - Resolved

Hi, to everybody today my driver side power seat went totally dead as well as the tilt steering function.... but the telescoping still works when the key is placed and withdraw. Interchanged the driver seat module with the passenger without success. No broken tracks on the pcb seen.

All fuses check good, as well as the voltage on the driver fascia fuse box. Is there any relay, or remote fuse box related to both the driver seat and the tilt motor... can it be the BCM????..... Any idea is welcome

Remove the negative terminal on the battery. Touch the removed wire to the positive terminal and hold it for 10 seconds. Reconnect the negative terminal, reset your windows and see if you still have the problem.

Does the drivers seat headrest motor work? It is controlled by a separate module. If it also does not work, I would check the power connections to the seat switchpack (Black=ground, Brown=+12v).

This is a link to the oneline on the car

Look at Fig 12.1 and you will see a ground that I would be checking then I would look at the seat switch pack. From experience I recommend is that you check the fuse with it being removed if you haven’t already.

No, the headrest is also dead will check the switchpack tomorrow, can be a broken wire or loose ground... got only 26000 miles on it.. I believe there is a common fuse for the steering tilt and the driver seat, if so can be an open circuit after the fuse box. Will post results tomorrow.

After checking the diagram 12.1 and the 11.1 they share a common power supply thru fuse #8 the splice of both wires should be near the back of the fuse box. It supplies current to the steering joystick and also to drivers seat switchpack, so it must be that, hopefully...
