Drivers door caught by wind and forced open
Hi my wife had an accident with the drivers door in the wind the other day and some damage has been sustained.
The door is now out of line, to close to the wing and catching, has also seemed to have dropped, will still close. Looks like the pillar were the hinges are has been distorted, so want to remove the door.
How do i do that and is it simple. Looks like have to remove pins, is this straight forward.

Dave Sorry for your misfortune. Some of us have struggled with "sagging doors" if you search on that it may help. Not exactly what you asked for but it may help a bit as you wait for more specific answers. John
Adjusting a door is difficult but straightening a bent door jam, hinges or door is not going to be easy. Your best bet is to take it to a body/frame shop and see what they say. Also have you checked your insurance policy? It might cover it.

By the sound of it, it's distortion and not just a matter of re-adjustment. If so it'll take more than a few taps with a hammer to true it up.
As Gus says, best to have a bodyshop see it before trying anything yourself.
