Default blown fuse engine bay fuse no3 (DSC/ECU)

Can any one throw some LED light on my problem,

XKR 2000, engine bay fuse box No3 5a Blown.
controls DSC/ECU

faults No led lights on the center console for :-

Traction control : heater for the seats although they work : Fog lights front/rear

heater no hot air.

after looking through the wiring diagram this fuse splits off supply approx 5 items any idea what they might be ? I am unable to follow the trace ...

all I want to do is isolate the unit causing the fault ... then replace it.
I replaced the fuse and the led's worked switched on the heater and blew the fuse. now by replacing the fuse it will not illuminate the led's ...

why does the the heating controls/center fog light indications go through this fuse odd to say the least ...

any thought appreciated

regards Paul

Some possibilities:

The security sounder, which has an internal backup battery, is probably the most likely cause of a short. The heater pump is a bear to access, I would only go there if everything else checks out.

Edit: WhiteXKR beat me to it, and + 1 on the alarm sounder module.

I'm not sure if that fuse doesn't also feed the lights in my house
I just happened to have the 2000 guide here. It feeds:

LH Headlamp Level Actuator
RH Headlamp Level Actuator
Centre Console switch pack
Adaptive speed control
Adaptive speed control booster
Heater pump relay
Front fog relay

and
Active Security sounder. Take your pick.

Check the wiring and connectors for signs of shorts, bent pins etc.

IIRC, the active sounder has NiCad batteries that decompose along with the rest of the unit, so that's a candidate.

ASC is in the nosecone: has it got wet/corroded?

thanks guys for you fast response brilliant !!

I thought of the Heater Pump from a thread .. unplugged the pump and valve before replacing the 5amp fuse ... when I looked at the wiring diagram saw it was a red herring... but the schottky diode in the relay could have failed... so shall unplug the relay as well ... I think the center pack is the my first choice as it only blew the fuse when the heater was selected ...

I shall look at the items listed and report back

thanks for the help
