drivers seat not working
hi im new on here and heres my 1st post. i have a 2000 xk8 4 litre v8 and the drivers side controls do not work. does anybody know were the fuse is and/or how to get out the seat modules so i can swap them with the passenger side thanks in advance
hi nairnam! Have you got yourself an owners manual with your 'new car'? If not, you can download the entire thing...just go to the FAQ thread at the very top of this subforum. That'll show you the fuse locations you seek.
As for getting to the driver's side module, just loosen the four bolts (with a torx head) on the seat in the rails, and you can lift it up enough to gain access to that module. Fuse first, then definitely check the module next. There has also been some posts about cleaning the control switch pack. If a soda got dumped on the driver's seat controls, they can corrode and lose its functions. But if all are not working, I doubt that would be the case. g'luck and report back.

Fuse #1 (20A) drivers side fuse box supplies the module
Fuse #8 (5A) drivers side fuse box Supplies the switches
check to see the wiring under the seat is not compromised.
Torx T40 is required.
