Driver's side (LHD) seat switch assembly mounting plate
Greetings, I am getting ready to have the front seats on my 97 XK8 reupholstered (finally). The seat control switch assembly on the drive's side (LHD) does not hold firm in the seat. I have discovered this is because the ABS plastic bracket into which the switch module snaps is broken. While I am almost certain this will be yet another unobtainable part it can't hurt to ask. The part carries the number 402953. There are no preceding letters. It screws to the seat super structure and the switch module snaps into it. Mine is broken at the retainer clip section. Any help will be most appreciated. If anyone has both driver and passenger side parts I will be interested just in case I discover similar damage to the passenger side. Thanks for your time and consideration. Regards, Ken

Depends on how much of it is left and how it broke but, you could use double side tape (the good 3M automotive stuff).
One other thing I have seen is to glue a strip of Velcro on the back side of the module. Interesting idea, not sure how stable it would be, but if you're not adjusting it often it might not matter much.
