Dsc fault + erratic mirror adjustments + non-operative steering wheel retracting + sluggish shifting

Several months ago I started getting no abs warnings, which would go away if I restarted. I always have a tender on the battery but was curious, I check the voltage and it was low…12.2.

I kept that in mind and lived with the nuisance.

Several weeks ago the car quit giving the abs fault and only a dsc fault…this one would not go away. I also noticed the steering wheel wasn’t retracting any longer, I checked the voltage and it was 11.9.

So

New Bosch Battery, 13.2 volts and everything works as it should.

The big surprise to me was that the lower voltage actually affected the transmission shifting points and reaction to throttle movement.

So…until someone wants to gold plate all the electrical connectors in our X100s I think a healthy battery is the smart way to go.

I just wanted to continue to underscore the battery thing for anyone in doubt.

I second that. Once the battery voltage drops you get loads of weird and wonderful effects. These cars are VERY susceptible to voltage drop effects.
