I'm in the proces of acquiring a '97 XK8 coupe with ~ 100,000 miles and a check engine light. The smog station this morning reported a DTC of P0706. In looking through the forum I have spotted a description of a fix for this code as simple as adjustment of the cable linkage. I also see another with a description of a rotary switch solution. Am I fooling myself by thinking this is not something more ominous? I'm very excitied about becoming an XK8 owner as I have admired them for many years!
