Early throttle body dismantling
Hi All
Whilst I see the lovely thread on the later XK8/R having their throttle bodies enlarged by a new unit, the older throttle bodies (with that black vacuum reservoir) not not included in it.
I have wanted to bore the unit for bout two years and due to the fact am in the UK dont have easy access to Maxbore due to posting to the US etc.
So, my questions are:
Is there anyone in the UK/Europe who has had their early throttle body enlarged.
Is there anybody here with experience in dismantling the unit so that it can be taken to an engineering company so that the bore and butterfly can be enlarged?
Help much appreciated here as whilst I'm prepping the car for a respray etc I would like to have the final mechanical mod I plan to do done whilst it isnt moving.
Obvious notes on mod of supercharger and elbow enlargement after noted..
