Early XKR with Mercedes Transmission
I have a 2002 XKR with the Mercedes Benz 722.6 (W5A580) Trnasmission. I had a leak, which turned out to be the electrical connector, which I understand is quite common, there is a Jaguar TSB on it. However, when my local mechanic was underneath to change the seals, filter and fluids, he discovered slight damage to the pan itself which could result in another leak fairly soon.
we are having a little trouble finding the part number for the pan. Sure, some of the normal Jaguar specialist parts suppliers here in the US have a pan for $500, that seems pretty steep when the same transmission was used in Mercedes vehicles which are much more common. Some general parts / European specialists have pans for less than $100, which seems reasonable, but, the problem is, all the pictures look different. Does anyone have an idea on what reasonably priced pan actually fits? We have everything else to do the job,
Any help would be much appreciated

Try this company. I use them for all of my transmission needs on the 2002 XKR I have:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/
look for a Mercedes of the same year using the same transmission. Or just call them, their customer service is great.
