Default '02 XKR transmission leaking, it started when freezing weather hit ?

Anyone have this happen. Am loosing about a tablespoon overnight.

Do I just need to move to the Tropics ?

will be under the car soon to see where it's coming from . The transmission pan was dropped last summer for some maintenance, but no leaks for the next 6,000 miles, until the weather got down to 15 F.

There may be some clues in this thread by YYC:

Also contains a TSB posted by Bob (motorcarman) that may be relevant...

Take a look under there and find the leak point first. Since the sealing points are plastic, they shrink in the cold and leak if they are at all questionable. Retorque the pan if its there, If its the electronics sleeve, you'll have to pull the pan to change it since the lock for the sleeve is inside the pan area.

the PDF (attached to post #4 in the thread referenced by Michaelh in the above post) makes it sound like a leak from the electrical connector is due to an O-ring failure. The TSB makes no mention of needing to pull the pan in order to replace the inner and outer O-rings on the connector socket, or the connector sleeve.

Can anyone comment on this ???

Z.

PS thanks for the replies !!!

To remove the electrical connector sleeve from the ZF 6HP26/28, the pan must first be removed.

I don't have that transmission, the '02 XKR has the 722.6
