Default End of a Bad Day!

My home AC went out yesterday at 12:00 and had to leave work to get back to work on it. After a fan motor ($118) and a capacitor ($15) I did get it fixed this morning. But my time away from work made me get behind and had to stay later tonight. No problems at work but pretty tired of work because of the working on the AC in the heat and then sleeping in a nice warm house! Just got home to a house full of kids as my daughter is having a birthday party. Didn't need that tonight...but she sure is having fun... cant you hear them !!! lol I headed back into the garage to get something from my car only to find someone had hit my drivers side rear fender!!! Pics show it and I don't think it is too bad but ....really!!! Only place it could have happen is at lunch ( not likely ) or at the store ( likely ) that i stopped at on the way home. No note... no nothing. I park very carefully and keep it away from others.. but being tired i just did not pay attention walking back to it at both places. Oh well... I will get it fixed but.. i sure am bummed!!! Just needed to vent guys!!!!

sorry to hear that Mike!
Hard to tell with the pics but it almost looks like that might pop out without damaging the paint!

I agree with Jamey. Hopefully the can pull it out without needing paint work, but it still is terrible It is truly a sickening feeling when you find your car damaged without knowing who did it.

That really sucks, but those paintless repair guys are good. It wasn't until I was showing off my new ride to friends a week after purchase that one pointed out a crease on the rear fender - a similar scrape had been pushed out and was hardly visible. I still wonder if it is just my imagination... Take heart, it is very fixable!

Thanks for the response guys! I do think it will be pretty easy to fix as the paint was not scraped or chipped that I can see at this time. But i just hate this had to happen. I am the type of person who tries to do for others and think of others first and know that it I ever caused anything like this to happen i would own up to it and make it right. Recently I found an IPHONE 4 in the river that i was kayaking in over the 4th of July. Someone was stupid enough to take a $500 IPHONE on water. Well, I took that apart to every last little component and dried it out, replaced the battery and shazam! It works! So what did I do...yes.. I called the owner to let him know I had the phone and I got it to work again and I would ship it to him. And this happens to my car!! GOD likes to test us a lot huh!!! lol Will keep updating as what I will do to get this fixed. Like I said before.. just needed to vent all this a little! Thanks to ALL!!

Sorry to hear about the dent, Take you off the subject for a minute. How's your neighbors doing after the tornadoes? We loaded a couple of releif trucks for your community a few weeks ago. Hope everybody is doing better.

All your good deeds will be rewarded either in this life, or the next. And that looks like a pickup height bumper-contact, last time I got backed into, the driver said he couldn't see my car in his mirror due to the height difference. Still...cowards run from their responsibility, and hopefully the culprit will lose sleep over his/her guilt.

So proud of our town and the many people like yourself that has been involved in helping out everyone here. My little dint is nothing compared to what has happened in this area and I am pretty sure that if I was seeing the carnage of the aftermath of the tornado I would probably be more upset. Its all relative!

My home was north of the path and I only received what I call "Collateral Damage"!! I had my Mother-In-Law live with us for about a month and a half! But...all in all... the town is doing great and rebuilding everyday!

After $800 later.. she's back and better now!!!

They went thru the entire body and took care of 80% of the little dings and imperfections. Also had the hood total re-done as i have 1 scratch in it from a rock last winter. Very pleased and happy to have her back! Been driving a Mazda Miata for the last 2 weeks. Makes you appreciate the cars we drive daily!!!

That looks perfect! Did they have to re-spray it or did they did the paintless repair guys take care of it?

They got about 90% of the dent popped out but did re-spray the back quarter panel. They also painted the entire hood of my car. Then they sanded all places to get out about 80% of the other little dings and scratches. It looks maybe too good as now that the car shines... the chips and scratches they couldn't get out are more prevalent Especially on the BOOT! ( little term i picked up from Top Gear! ) Oh well.. they proved to me that they can paint match real good so I will take it back in as funds allow to get the BOOT lid done! Overall i am very pleased!!!

Sounds like a great bargain--$800 for all of that work! And the results look fantastic also.
