Thanks to the Forum for helping me with my problem with the rear side lights and left tail light.
When I was testing for power on the socket of the left side light, I caused the Check engine light to come on and after checking it came up with a PO 328 code. That code said that the Knock sensor had a surge in power. The surge in power and the lights not coming on gave me the idea that it might be a fuse. I posted my problem and a member gave me the info needed to solve the problem.
Thanks, HalBrown

Reason: Add "RESOLVED" to thread title
Please can you show the resolution to this problem, I have exactly the same symptoms, n/s/r stop tail lamp not working and knock sensor showing fault, that can't be resolved. The sensor has been changed, no joy.
many thanks
Rob
To get you started, here's what the DTC list says about the P0328 code:
If you've had the sensor replaced, then look at the connectors and wiring related to it. The connectors on the V8 are around the thermostat tower area: not certain if that's true for the V6.
Note that the sensor part #s appear to be VIN-dependent - could the wrong one have been fitted?
Check F57 (10A) in the Rear Power Distribution Box for the LH tail light; it powers side/stop//fog on that side. Not related to the knock sensor, though.
