hi guys, i have a 99 xk8 that has developed some sort of noise that seems to b coming from the intake. at first you might think vave train or bearing noise. however after a while it goes away. (some times you dont hear it at all) i picked up 2 codes P1111 and P1637 has anyone experinced an issue similar to mine and what was the remedy. i brought it to a couple of shops and they were puzzled although they were just listening to it. any help would be appreciated

 

P1111 is nothing to worry about. It indicates all OnBoard tests have been completed since the last memory clear. You will always see either P1000 (tests not completed) or P1111 (tests completed).

Before you dig too deeply into the possible causes shown, is the intake properly attached and intact with no splits or cracks?
