Exclamation Engine remap

I did some mods on my 97 XK8 and want to get the ECU remapped. My question is do I need to go to a Jaguar specific Shop or a Performance Shop? Who has the knowledge to do this kind of Work "correctly"? How do I choose a shop?

I don't think its really required on our XK's, the ECU is adaptive with a wider range than most cars - for example I'm running a +3psi boost pulley on my SC, and have some exhaust mods, and am fine with the stock ECU. There might be only two or three people on the forum that are pushing the limit enough to warrant digging into the ECU.

I used to tune PCM's on the LSx series chevy's where even small exhaust/intake mods would benefit from a tune. Doesn't seem like it for our jags, though.

Thanks for the info.I've been reading your write ups and had a couple questions. I'm working on my Rear end and want to replace the Fuel Filter while I'm under there. Your picture shows only part of the AC Delco Part#, do you know that the full Part# is? I'm also putting in a Mina Exhaust and maybe a x-pipe or center Muffler, what is your complete Exhaust system made of. Have a great Day!
