Engine wont start after disconnect courtsey unit disconnect
Hi
I disconnected the courtesy light until above the mirror this afternoon and removed the unit with the micro phones in it to bend back the mesh. I reconnected it all and replaced, all lights work fine e.t.c But now the engine wont start. Ignition lights come on with no warning light but then engine does not turn over. Yes I had my foot on the brake and it was in park.
Any ideas I'm guessing its something to do with me disconnecting that unit as it must be connected to the alarm system.
Car worked fine before no problems its a 2001 XKR with 50K miles.
Thanks

OK fixed
OK wife fixed this one she said check ya fuses. After checking boot and two boxes under the bonnet then checked the one in the drivers side door and it was a little 5amp fuse on the left side of the two banks of fuses first 5amp left side top to bottom
god only knows what that controls but it lets the ignition be turned on but the starter does not get power i.e no click everything else in the car seemed to work. Doors lights sterio nav
And no warning lights or ODBII codes
Interesting
