Excellent deal on a 2006 XKR
I saw this on cars.com last night and it almost looks too good to be true. However it's advertised by a dealer, so it doesn't seem like a scam. They are asking less than $20K for an '06 XKR. The mileage is a little high (83K), but it looks like it's in excellent condition. The dealer is asking $8,000 less than the KBB retail value of that car in excellent condition, and $2,000 less than the KBB private party value of that car in fair condition. If I had the cash for a second XK I would jump on this in a heartbeat.

Offer yours in trade in, who knows, the dealer may be able to do a good deal, or, sell yours privately, I'm sure that with your car's history it wouldn't be difficult to sell. Then the out of pocket will be less. There are opportunities that comes once in a lifetime. Good luck.

This does sound suspiciously inexpensive unless this dealer picked up the car in some auction or stole it on a trade-in and wants a quick turnaround. One odd thing is that almost all of the autotrader/cars.com ads I have seen for cars like this include several photos of the engine compartment and the trunk (boot) and there are none of those with this car.

Man to bad I can't cram 3 car saftey seats in there
! Looks to be really a nice vehicle, but the close up of the steering wheel on the left looks worn. Body lines all seem to line up as well.
I love that color combo.
I'm surprised that it doesn't have BBS rims... I know that was an option, but I thought all 05/06 XKRs shipped with them. They might have been changed out too. In any event, that's a good price, even if the car does have a few issues. I paid quite a bit more for my 05... but it only had 30k miles on it and it had all the options I wanted so it was worth it to me.
And I love the 05/06 body style... in the long run it will be the rarest, I think.
Did anyone pull the CarFax report? I did to see any comments about that. It'll show all insurance claims, and any title issues. Sometimes the reason for the price is based on that history. I don't think the dealer used the usual phrase "clean CarFax report" in this ad, did he? So if not, maybe a buyer should get the full history, and the CarFax is not a bad place to start.

I agree it's a bit strange that there are no pictures of the interior. The seats may be quite worn after all those miles (mine were). Just as a reminder, the interior of the run-out models should look like this. The CF dash could be changed free of charge for either walnut or elm (which I have). The Recaro seats were an (expensive) option. They look cool, but IMHO are not especially comfortable.

I hadn't noticed the missing headlight washer. That too is odd: they don't usually break of their own accord and I have noticed that the headlight units are often for sale without the washer. Could this mask hasty crash damage repair?

I love my Recaros. I'm sure Jaguar improved their seats, but my 97 is like sitting on a park bench in comparison.
