Default exhaust manifold bolt threadlocker

Hello, the group -
I am preparing to reinstall the heads on my 2000 XK8. Does anyone happen to know what strength threadlocker comes with the exhaust manifold bolts? The old ones are in excellent condition, and I'm having some difficulty sourcing new ones.
Thanks for any advice on this

Hi, average exhaust manifold temps are 750 - 800 degrees F, or up to 1200 degrees F if you're pushing hard.

For most applications Permatex HT thread locker will work fine.

There are higher temperature threadlockers available but they start to get very pricey.

You're welcome, there is a higher (650 degree) temperature Loctite 2422 available but you probably need to order that from McMaster-Carr. Here's a comparison chart if you want to take a look:

Good luck !

Thanks again. I checked the data sheet on the Permatex 59214, and I think it will do fine. The specs indicate disassembly with hand tools is possible, which was one my concerns.
