I have a 2001 XK8 and the exterior door handles become too hot to touch in the summer sun. You can pratically burn your fingers opening the doors. Any suggestions?

You could put some foam tape on underside of door handle where no one can see it and will prevent your little piggies from frying when you open door.

We have same problem in S FL. Car sittin sun all day you can burn your hands.

 

.. sometimes the wood here gets hot..i wud imagine there wud be crazy lol

 

I live in San Francisco. It's only 58 degrees Fahrenheit outside, but my door handles are scorching hot. I have to open the doors with a towel. I've never owned a car where the handles or even the paint gets so hot. No wonder the clear coat is destroyed.

I'll have to cover the handles with some insulating material.
