my 99 convertible came with factory chrome wheels with the jag center caps, was this an option or trim item? are they worth money, they appear to be very heavy, can anyone tell me anything about them. car also has an unusual french named color, like a purple, is this a special order color, i have not seen it anyplace before, also has harmon kardon stereo which i assume was an option. top is black and interior is creme. just wanting to know more from those who may???

 

Chrome wheels were an option. My wife's 2006 Victory Edition convertible came with factory-mounted 19-inch staggered Atlas chrome wheels. We purchased the car in February 2012 at 36,000 miles and it just turned 118,500 miles. I despise these wheels and would much prefer the regular Atlas alloy wheels that were available at the time....

 

mine are stock 17 inches with chrome lugs. not staggered.

 

I believe the purple is called Amaranth purple and was limited to one or two model years

 

that sounds good, like eggplant in english i think. wheels have 5 rungs and large center mass, i have seen cars of my vintage with these wheels with silver paint. these are chrome

 

The wheels are Chromed Aluminum and are actually not that heavy versus typical chromed steel wheels.

The Wheels are called "Revolvers"

 

I thought whenever I saw chrome wheels on an X100 that they were dealer done because Jaguar never offered chrome from factory.

Am I mistaken about that?

I think the "purple" color is fairly rare.

I remember seeing pics of purple tinted door sills...does this car have those?

door sills? the car is that color, the trim around windows is similar but not same, door sills, bottom plate you see when entering are chrome/metal. those are the wheels i guess. i have the original sticker, i wonder if the car colors and wheels were a time option? parked next to a burgundy acura it is a completely different color

so the combo, wheels, color makes it a rather rare car to some i am guessing. many have commented on the color. i am second owner.

I would think that the only car color they would look good on is a purple color. If I had your car I would track down a set.
