It's obvious that I prefer red but I was originally looking for red with a black top and interior. Unable to find one, I bought mine in 2005 in Carnival Red which I love, and a tan interior, I think they call it Camel. I am very happy with this color combination and I wonder if the car would be too hot had I gotten a black interior. I'm a bit picky when it comes to colors of these cars and I think that red is my favorite with British Racing Green coming in second. After that I'm not sure but black looks nice and silver is OK.
I think that certain cars look best in certain colors and few domestic cars look good in green but British cars look great in it.
If I had a '69 Camaro it would be white with orange stripes, and an early 70's Hemi Cuda would have to be Plum Crazy purple, probably with black stripes.
It's all about what you like and aren't we lucky that we don't have to deal with Henry Ford who said that you can have any color you want as long as it's black.
2000 XK8, Titanium exterior, with Oatmeal interior. Black/convertible top. Love this car!... been doing slowly replacing parts, and it comes back, with a vengeance... I know, the corvettes and mustangs are 'fierce'...but not 'big cat' smooth...
I absolutely love my color combo of Black Copper Metallic (PEG)with a black top and Ivory (NED) interior, but I just saw this color combination and it is absolutely gorgeous:.

That's the color combo of ours - Zircon Blue with Navy top - hardly ever fails to get favorable comments!
no question, IRR Italian Racing Red is the ultimate color for the XKR-S especially with the carbon fiber bits. My Jaguar enthusiast friends call it the Brute in a suit! It will pass everything on the road, except for the petrol station
The ice blue (zircon?) for me with an ivory interior. However, I am very happy with my Pacific Blue & Ivory. My dark blue would look good with tan leather as well.
Jaguar's Primrose Yellow with tan Connolly hides would be nice if I could afford an E-type again.
i agree on both counts.
here is a photo of my zircon blue 2002 XKR and one of my 1970 primrose e-type
