Default Fifth Gear Episode

Did anyone catch tonight's episode of Fifth Gear? They had a story about great used car buys. Of course, XK8 was featured along with a 7 series BMW and a Volkswagen Phaeton. They had a beautiful Carnival Red Coupe featured and described it as a great GT for a bargain price. The coupe looked stunning and represented all of us very well.

In the U.S., velocity repeats Fifth Gear episodes routinely. I see this episode, titled "Mercedes AMG VS BMW M" showing about 6 times in the next days/week.

Yeah, they are showing it again today as well. Good they mentioned the tensioners, I was surprised. The xk8 stuff is in the last segment. 5K sounds pretty cheap for what he was driving, I only see junk for sale in Calif that's under 10K, just salvaged/thrashed xk's. I saw one in LA on craigslist this morning for $3900. - what POS it was. 10K gets you a good one, I paid 10.5 for my 98, and it's like new, 74K miles, with the tensioners done. They are amazing bang for the buck cars, no doubt. I even looked around Calif craigslist for a VW Phaeton, not many for sale, and no deals whatsoever.

I saw the episode, it was alright. I wish they would have spent more time on the XK, but it was a surprise to see.

I should list my XK8 for sale, maybe the show will help sell it. lol

well now, that makes sense, and now I agree. I see some ok looking ones, high mileage, for 8K on up. I want to buy them all, every xk8 looks good to me.
