Default Filter box mount replacement?

I have been getting the dreaded 'reduced' message and the P0171/P0174 error codes.

So at first I thought that the cause was likely a grubby or broken mass flow. While taking that out I noticed that the rubber mount holding the filter box in place had perished. There was also a noticeable gap round the connection between the air hose and the mass flow.

What I suspect is happening is that the filter box is wobbling about to a much larger degree than spec and that as a result the air hose is being pulled out of its mounts creating air gaps that let air in.

So I have been trying to find the filter box description in my EBay technical manual. To no avail, looks like they didn't include that part. I must say though, that it is absolutely one of the worst E-Book type applications I have ever come across. Finding diagrams is impossible. I do have a degree in nuclear physics, the e-book manual is a pieced of crud.

What I need to know is what the part number of the filter box mount would be. It is a little rubber/neoprene pillar about an inch high with a mounting socket for a screw.

Any ideas?

Get number(s) 5. and 6. Simple to install. Stop your air box from shaking and moving about.

I had the same problem on a 99 XK8, the seperation was caused by the motor mount failing. Replaced both motor mounts, the seperation between the broken airbox mounting parts was removed. Replaced the mount and no further problems.
A failed motor mount will have oil leaking from the unit, also look for excessive engine movement when increasing RPM from idle.

I have also replaced the motor mounts on my '01 XKR. One was leaking and the other was totally dry. A lot less vibration feel after replacement.
