Default Finally getting to replacing a few things

Got my remote fob in and programmed... thanks for the great programming process
Got my DEAD stuff in place... (didn't need to know voltage so I went with something to give me a smile) and found some small magnets for the rear that work just fine...

and the new gearshift knob from British Autowood...

But now I need to figure out what's wrong with the lighter socket... no juice yet the fuse is fine... I hear that's been a problem elsewhere...

I'll be going low-tech with a tape adapter for an iPOD but still need that socket for GPS/iPOD charging... AND I need to fix that arhtray cover...

Cheers
DJ

Have you checked if it is actually plugged in under the center console?

I have a similar solution for the Temperature Gauge:

NORMAL

OVERHEATED

For those wanting a more technical solution, White XKR's upgrade is a lot more reliable!

That's a project for this weekend... saw sam's video on how to remove center console... I didn't even know the lid was on that mechanism... mine is just tweaked... like it's completely off the hinges...

I will try to get to it and take photos of the process and the damage...

Thanks
DJ
