Default Finally got the J gate working

I could never manually shift with my jgate. I could goto 2nd, 3rd but 4th would never engage when changing up, this always led to a restricted performance message when I put it back in Drive.
I have been replacing the bulbs in the centre console so I decided to try again to get the cable setup right. This time I managed to get it right.

I have been missing a lot of fun not being able to manual control the gears

What exactly did you do to adjust the cable? Was planning on digging into mine in the near future. J-Gate works fine but takes fine placement to get into 4th properly. If I just slide it over from D I need to push up just a bit to get it into 4th. I have gotten random Restricted Performance messages after messing with the shifter and this sounds like it could be the cause. If I leave the car in D never an issue.

Sounds similar. It's actually not too involved.
You need to take out the centre console, that is only 4 screws.

This video explains it really clearly. Its just two adjuster nuts.

Excellent, thank you! Looks simple enough and reading one of the comments on the video sounds exactly like what my car is doing and it fixed it for him. Here's hoping it works, thank you again.
