My C5 Corvette was shod with Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500's. It came that way and the tire proved more than satisfactory in the dry, wet, cornering and noise areas. I've got to re-shod my XK8 now and was thinking of using these same Firehawks as I was happy with them before, they come in the 275/40/18 size for the rear and the prices are pretty darn good. Anyone out there gone this route on an XK8 before? BTW, I'm also exploring using the Riken Raptor ZR's as they are getting pretty good reviews and the prices are amazingly low.

 

As I had these Firestones on my C5 Z06 Vette as factory tires and had very good success with them, I took the plunge yesterday and bought a set for the XK8. Picked up 245/40/18 fronts and 275/40/18 on the rear. $713 on the rims and out the door at the Firestone dealer. Will report back after some miles to see if they're as good on the Jag as they were on the Vette.
