Why am I not surprised? Good for you, but it must be quite tiring.

Default Finished!! WOW!!

Finally finished! It's one of those things you can't stop half way and critique! Now that it done, it's amazing!! Added a chrome ring around my old XJS badge from a new growler badge and it was the finishing touch!
I actually LOVE this mod! Finally! I'm owed one!!

Pros: looks more modern

Cons: feels cold (vs. warm wood)

Best argument: You clearly like it. (I think that settles the discussion)

It looks very nice. Clean and modern.

Personally, I have to agree with Mike, I like the warmer feel of the wood, but if it works for you, go for it.

+1: It's easy to change next week when you want something different.

Thoroughly modern twist on a classic. What did you decide on the steering wheel?

Very nice work Phil! It looks great and it really fits the direction you are taking your car.

Phil

Looks excellent with the black interior and if my cars interior were black I would shamelesly copy you.

But I bought my car for the classic Jag look, I'ld wanted since a boy, with pale interior and walnut. To me it just feels more "jaguarish" if that makes sense at all..

It's very grey in the photo's but it has a warm tone in person. With the black suede door panels it really looks new. Reminds me of my XF. Just needs a small sliver of paino black under the gauges

Looks fabulous, and I'm sure that, in person, where you can see some grain and texture, it looks even better than in the pictures. Good for you!

I think it looks great on the black interior. I am curious how it looks with the beige interior, hmm.

Personally, I'd order the darker brushed steel finish for a lighter interior. They have several colors of brushed metal and you can even order small samples of the colors to test.
The only issue with the wrap is the steering wheel. I used a cover for mine but I really want to have one refinished in piano black to match my shifter.

Here's an image of the color I would put with a light interior. It's called metallic black brushed. They also have bronze and other shades.

Hi.

May be you should have an aluminium gear shifter trim plate?
