Default Fluid on lug nuts

Cleaned wheel sensors today ( Thanks Reverend Sam ). Only took off back wheels to do so. On the passenger side only, there was oil-like fluid on the lug nut threads and a little on the casing. Just last week, tranny fluid and brake fluid were flushed/refilled. I assume it was just a little run-off from that proceedure, however, wondering if any other possibility exist that might be problematic. Also noticed that one brake pad was a little more worn down(thinner) than the other. Is that unusual? Thank You!!

I personally wouldn't be too worried about the lug nuts, sounds like just some run-off or maybe you even just drove over some oil on the road. If it's on the threads itself then maybe the shop you were at put a bit of oil on there to prevent the lug nuts from seizing on, I usually put a bit of grease on myself before I torque everything down.

Sometimes it happens that one brake pad is worn more than the other. Usually the pads are changed all at once per axle or even all around, but if you're not the original owner then you never know. As long as you have no vibrations or any other symptoms when braking then again I wouldn't worry about it, and just keep an eye on it when brake pad change time comes around

If it is just a bit, no. And as pomosv points out, they may have been changed at different times.

However, it is possible that the caliper on the thin side is sticking. One way to monitor this is to feel the wheels after a drive. If one is significantly warmer than the others, the caliper is sticking or at least suspect.
