Default Flushing coolant system.

1. My 2001 Jaguar XK8 Conv calls for ORANGE coolant. BUT the previous owner has GREEN coolant in the system. AFTER the flush which one do I put back in?

2. What is the proper way to do a complete flush of the coolant system?

Thank you StuG. This pretty much explained everything. I'll be doing a chemical flush so I shouldn't have a problem going back to the Jag recommended ORANGE coolant. Great! I'm ready to start.

I have a similar questions. Been busy lately, so I thought Valvoline would be a nice convenient oil change and coolant flush.

They used G-05, which is a yellow HOAT.

I have a can of the OEM specific orange that I use to top up between changes...

Two questions: will the G-05 cause any problems and would I be crazy to top up using OEM orange until my next flush?

Thank you!

I think you should flush the system and recharge with the orange. Mixing coolant types is a bad idea.
