Default Foot well lighting.

Here's the perfect match for our XK8 interior dash lights. Electro illumiescent strips.
Cheap and was fairly easy to install.
I used black signboard to cut strips 3" longer than light strip, carpet tape to attach lights, then screwed strips under dash.
I pulled power from cigar lighter back light and done!! Matches perfectly.
Be sure to order the auto resistors for cars. He sells them too. He'll also make any length. I used 12". But you can cut if needed.

And here's a pic of my XF with the lights. My XK8 is in the shop having my stripes put on and the pics of it didn't show up enough. I'll get better when done.
But you can see the color match. It's the same in the XK8. Even better match to gages in XK8.

What is wrong with the Autozone or other junk stores LED light strips? They come in a variety of lengths and colors, and could easily be tapped into the interior light circuit, without adding any real amperage? You can pick them up for next to nothing. Sorry for this info, but I build tuners for the kids in town.....Mike

Must be something to them, my wifes '13 Ford Fusion Titanium has a rainbow of selections for interior footwell light to match her girlie moods.. this was a factory item.

I've tried them but the blue isn't the same, green too green, amber ok but not what I wanted. And white too bright. Our interior gage and switch lights are aqua.
And I spent around 30.00 for the pair for my xk8. That's cheap and matches!

FYI, jaguar offers color changing interior lights as an option as well. F-type, XE, and I'm sure the new XF will and XJ.
And it's actually a much softer light than LED strips. Ambient lighting.
