Hi,
During disassembly of the upper wishbone to preform replacement of the shock/spring/upper plate assembly, it was apparent that P.O. or his mechanic had been in there and some of the shims were missing. I have only a total of 4 thin for both sides.

Does anyone know of a source for these? Alternately, the inside diameter and outside diameter? I see the thicknesses defined as 0.9mm (thin) and 1.6mm (thick), and can source these if I know the size.
Any information would be appreciated.

Jerry, the Shim Part #'s for thick are MJA1467AA and Thin is MJA1467BA. 4 thick and 4 thin are needed for total of 8 shims for both sides. I was short 1 thin ship and order from Engel Import Parts in Kalamazoo Mi.

 

It is worth noting that the right side and left side shim arrangements in kstevusa attachment are not symmetrical. Although it may appear questionable, it is correct.

 

The asymmetry is related to road camber, I understand.
The default shim arrangement is a mirror image for RHD cars

NB there is an error. Note (1) should read 0.4° not .04°
