Default Front wheel alignment

Hi does anyone have the correct settings (or a link) for the front alignment on the 01 convertible? I’m a bit irritated at an otherwise good pair of tyres being ruined by the inside edge being worn down to the lining. I did have the front aligned but it seems they are both perfectly worn on both insides leading me to suspect the shop aligned incorrectly!
thanks

What is the condition of your top spring mounts.
Check your ride height, your camber is not adjustable to any real degree and crumbling top mounts will trash the inside shoulder of your tyres.

^^ What he said. If your front upper shock mounts are the original ones, it is long past time for replacement. Until you do that job, hold off on replacing your tires because the new ones will be quickly ruined as well....

Thanks, what is the easiest way to measure the ride height? From ground to where?

Measured from center of wheel to bottom of wheel arch above it. IOW the bottom of the sheet metal lip.

Thanks John that seems fairly straightforward but I forgot to ask what that distance should be?

Found another thread that said the magic number was 15". My rears are 15.25" and my fronts are both 14.5" Would that be enough to cause inner tire wear down to the canvas. (it doesn't even look gradual across the tire its a very sharp wear almost on just the one inside tread on both sides)

That's more than an inch low at front which will result in camber way off spec and inner shoulder wear.
your top mounts are relatively easy to visually check for condition. Start by looking at top shock mount in engine bay. You very likely will find crumbling foam residue.

So as well as the front tires being worn through just on the inside edge (about half to one inch) the rears are the same. Rubber all good except the inside edges on all four tires. Is that alignment or suspension or both?
