Default Front bumper wind/stone deflector

I'm trying to work out if these are missing from my car. The workshop manual says "A plastic air deflector is attached to the undertray in each wheelarch area to improve airflow in the front wheel area." Can anyone help me out with where they are and how attached. They look like this apparently; SNG Barratt - The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist

As far as I can tell, my XK does not have them. If they are what I think they are, our XJ has a similar style attached, though it looks like they are built into the fender well on that car.

The blue car pictured is the XJ, and the second picture is a close up of the deflector. The grey car is the XK with no deflector. Sorry about the dirt, we had some rain here recently.

As far as functionality, I can't image they do THAT much. On the other hand, the XJ will get 30MPG (US) on the highway, whereas the XK tops at 26MPG (US). Hmmm...

When I purchased my '97, had one on passenger side. Bought the one for the other side. They attach behind the undertray.

I replaced a broken set on my 97, but I don't recall seeing them on any other XK8's. I wonder if they discontinued using them because they were easy to break?

Thanks all. I think I'll leave it as it also looks as though they would only fit the earlier style of undertray.
