Looking to replace the front shocks and shock mounts looking at URO mounts and Bilstien shocks any thoughts on using those parts?

Would also like to replace the upper and lower ball joints while I'm there. I know I need to get the assemblies but would really rather not pay the cost of oem....any thoughts on going the used route and is anyone supplier better than the others?

One more thing how do I reset my password?

Bilstein shocks are the usual replacement choice. I found good prices and free shipping at FCP Euro. You should also check out SNG Barratt Group and Tire Rack. Various sources run various sales at different times of the year. Take a day or so to shop around online, and do not be reluctant to call some of the vendors and ask for a better deal. You just may get it....

As much work as it is to replace the various suspension components, I would never install used parts....

 

1. go to User CP on the black menu bar (arrowed in red)



2. Under Your Control Panel click on Edit Your Details (arrowed in green)
3. in the main dialogue box, click on Edit Email and Password
4. make required changes
5. click on Save Changes button at the bottom

Most will tell you to go with the better Welsh upper mount instead...

 

The URO upper shock mounts are crap. Use them and you will get to do the job again in a couple years.

 

+1 re fmertz and Rothwell points. Figure on about $105 per shock for the right bilsteins.

Say more about "the assembly". You can buy ball joints and bushes separately.

 

Buy the upgraded Welsh mounts off Ebay. They are cheaper than at the Welsh store and shipping is free.
