Fuel Additive in Australia
I am trying to find a fuel additive to clean the injectors on my 2002 Jaguar XKR. I live in Australia so if anyone knows of something that is readily available here it would be very much appreciated.
I previously used BG 44K and Redline SI-1, both readily available on Fleabay, Amazon etc.
I settled on those two after many years of research into fuel additives.
Supercheap Auto (for our Merican friends our equivalent of O'Reilly's) have a whole aisle of fuel additives but they don't stock BG 44K or Redline.
However a few weeks ago they had a half price special on a newish Nulon product, Nulon Petrol Fuel System Extreme Clean so I bought two bottles and chucked one in the tank at the next refill, see here: https://www.nulon.com.au/products/ad...-extreme-clean.
My research suggested that the best most effective ingredient in fuel system cleaners is polyetheramine (PEA) and the blurb on the linked page and the bottle says "... contains the world's leading polyetheramine fuel system cleaning technology...", although there is no mention of PEA in the linked SDS.
So far so good, it appears to work as well as the previous mentioned products.
I like and trust Nulon products they are good quality and generally do what it says on the tin, so I suggest you try a bottle of this brew to start with.
