On Fuel Economy
As far as I’ve been able to find out , the 4.0 L XK8 MAF is used on the Mazda and several other cars. The 4.0 L XKR MAF is only used on the XJR.
note: I’ve only had my XKR for 6 years and am still learning to put it mildly. So if you discover anything interesting in this department please let me know.
The 4.2 models are probably complete different than the 4.0’s in this instance.

PS: My gas mileage is about the same as yours.

Have wondered if changing the dash language between UK English and USA English would change the "gallons" measurement. Would imagine it would like switching to km.
Re: the MAF. When i queried the Denso website directly for a model number it differed from the usual assumption that it is the same as certain Mazda models. Will get the part number and post shortly.
