fuel gauge issue
My fuel gauge is also not correct. Full is about 3/4 and empty, don't know, but I'm guessing around 1/4. OregonJag mentioned: a loose connection to the instrument cluster. I feel this might be true with my issue because it will remain like this for a month or two, then the gauge will "readjust" to a new position and remain there for awhile.
Where can I find the "connection to the instrument cluster?"

I just saw on Motor Week last week that high sulpher in gas can cause the silver in the variable resitance unit to corrode and before attempting a mechanical fix you can try a BG gas additive to remove the corrosion in the sending unit silver to correct the problem. Not sure which additive but the can is gold colored with white letters.

My fuel gauge has not worked for two years.
The car developed a slight stumble and I was advised to add JB 208 to my fuel. Now the stumble is gone and my fuel gauge has come back to life. NOW I will use JB products on a regular basis.

Hmmm, I wonder if the JB 208 fuel additive product actually resolved your fuel gauge issue. Perhaps hitting a nasty pothole or bump jarred your fuel gauge float out of its stuck position. No way to really know, I suppose....
