The lightening for the primary instruments have failed to come on at any time. I need locate where the fuse panel is and the designation as to what fuses do what.

My first question is does the cruise control work? If yes then the fuse is good. You then might want to make sure that the cluster dimmer has not been turned to off.
If the cruise doesn't work the you need to check fuse 14 in the drivers side fascia fuse box.

Thanks for the info. It will be helpful at another time I'me sure. But the fuse is not the problem. The problem is in the ignition switch. I have had problems there before that I have put off and have just pulled the just for the radio. This time it is definitely the ignition switch. When I put the key in and turn it up as far as it will go without starting the engine all lights come on. Releasing the key position back to run position the lights go off. Going back up lights on. Back to neutral lights off. I am thinking of spraying the switch with some tuner spray. If that doesn't work I will remove the switch and give it a complete cleaning.

I will keep you informed.
