Started the car 2000 XK8 after setting for a couple of weeks as weather not the best for a ragtop in Ohio now. Needed to use car while wife's car in for repairs. Car started no problem but no gauge cluster gauges or lights or status readout, all dead only item working on dash is the clock and the trip odometer controls. also the climate control panel beep 10 times and displayed a "er" on display. Followed instructions for codes on control panel and got a "14" can not get to OBD II reader to test for other codes. This is the worst issue I have had but normally I will have some issues when the car sets for a while (Winter normally). Any insight would be helpful. I have not had light to work on checking the fuses yet but I would think this would be multiple based on the lights and gauges not coming on.

 

Ensure your battery has a 'Good Charge' even a bad battery may start the car but not drive the electronics properly. Also perform a HARD RESET before reconnecting battery.
